Lubrizol Offers Digital Access to its Medical Device Components

Lubrizol is enabling access to its medical device components by joining the Chamfr marketplace, an online ordering portal providing a streamlined, digital way for medtech teams to jump-start their innovation programs and increase speed to market.

Through Chamfr, Lubrizol is offering select medical device components through an online interface designed to support faster evaluation during early-stage development. The initial offering focuses on silicone-based products for prototyping and evaluation, with additional products expected to be added as the program expands.

“Our participation in the Chamfr marketplace reflects our commitment to making it easier for medtech innovators to access and evaluate components earlier in the development process,” said Apur Lathiya, director of Global Strategic Marketing at Lubrizol. “By combining digital access with our technical expertise, we aim to support our customers as they move from initial concepts to more advanced development stages.”

The current portfolio available through Chamfr includes:

• Silicone extrusions and profiles, supporting single- and multi-lumen configurations, micro- to mid-diameter tubing, and a range of durometers
• Silicone film and sheeting, including thin-gauge film, reinforced and multilayer constructions, gloss or matte finishes, in multiple durometers

The platform provides medtech engineers and R&D teams with a simplified starting point for component evaluation. As projects advance, customers can transition from online sourcing to direct collaboration with Lubrizol for deeper technical, design, and manufacturing support.

Lubrizol expects to expand its presence on Chamfr over time, adding additional components and capabilities to further support medical device development.
